New to Yoga?



Welcome to ancient science of yoga! Our classes are suitable for beginners. Here are some tips that will help make your yoga experience the best it can be.


   •   Yoga is practiced in bare feet, so please remove your shoes and socks.  This way we can feel the earth beneath our feet and this helps improve our balance.


   •   Before coming to class, wait about two to three hours after a big meal, or an hour after a light snack.  


   •   Let us know if you have any injuries or physical concerns so that we can help you. Any physical  limitations can be overcome, as there are many ways to practice asanas (yoga postures).

            
   •   Yoga is not a competition so make your best effort to let go of any competitive mind-set you may have.  Practicing yoga is a process, and not about getting asanas picture-perfect.


   •   Observe silence in the studio before class begins, as many students enjoy this time for   meditation.


   •   Please turn off your cell phones.


   •   Most importantly, have fun. This is a special time for you and it should feel good.
